For the 32-bit Windows version, Maple 12 includes the OpenWatcom C compiler. This compiler is used for the Maple compiler feature, which allows you to compile some types of user-written Maple routines to speed up the performance of your code. To use this feature, you must install the OpenWatcom C compiler when you install Maple 12. The OpenWatcom compiler requires that it be installed in a location whose name contains no spaces (the default is C:\\watcom-1.3). During installation, you will have the opportunity to change this default location. To remove the OpenWatcom C compiler after installation, follow these steps.
The receipt in the box says that it was purchased 8/2/2010, so it's the FlexLM version and is tied to the hard drive Volumd ID. I have 3 other versions of Mathcad (Mathcad for DOS 1986, Mathcad 2001, and Mathcad 12), but none of them are installed on any machine, the DOS version and the 2001 versions only need the 16 digit code from the CD. Mathcad 12 needs the code from the CD and then there's the activation from a Mathsoft server, which is longer supported since PTC bought them.
I did reinstall Mathcad 12 once. I had to call tech support and some woman walked me through the re-install process, which involved giving her a 16 digit code from the disk and the volume ID from the hard drive. It worked back in 2009, but I use 14 now and I don't plan to go back. My machine at work has Mathcad 15 and prime, I like 14 better than either.
Alternatively, all students and faculty staff can avail of a 1-year license for ArcGIS Desktop. This enables you to install ArcGIS onto a Windows computer in a standalone environment, not connected to the License Server. The licence expires 1 year after activation, or when the existing ESRI licence expires (July 2023).
LabVIEW and Multisim are available for registered Trinity students and staff to install. Please read and accept the licence agreement, after which you will be given access to the download link and current licence code.
To download the SPSS installation files please visit MyTrinityApps. During the SPSS installation process, you will need the latest SPSS licence code. The licence code will be made available following acceptance of the terms and conditions of Trinity's SPSS licensing agreement.
